The evening was really nice, the sky looked beautiful, and the weather was perfect. Everyone had a lot of fun finishing a great buckle series. The evening began with a touching devotion by Nita Chitwood. There were 12 riders who did things like opening gates, walking over logs and timbers, spinning a pole, trotting through a curtain of noodles, and carrying the Risen Ranch flag. These activities are not only fun but also help the riders and horses get better at handling everyday obstacles calmly. We hope to see more riders next year, and the first competition will probably start in April.
